We value people. We believe that strong, personal relationships are vital for a strong community. The heart cry of every human being is an overwhelming need for community. Christian community is essential because God created us to be relational and not isolationist.

What Is A Small Group?

  • A group that continues to reach, grow and multiply (Matt. 28:19-20)
  • A group where community and fellowship take place (Matt. 22:37,39)
  • A group that focuses on learning the Word to live it (2 Peter 3:18 or James 1:22)
  • A group where prayer and ministry takes place (Gal. 6:10)
  • A group where people learn to use their gifts (Ecc. 11:4)

The goal of every group is to produce transformed lives that influence others in a Christ-like way.

Why Should I Connect with a Small Group?

Why Should I Connect with a Small Group?

Small Groups create a place for weekly accountability and support for spiritual, emotional, and physical needs.

Small Groups are a place where you, as a member, will be encouraged to grow in prayer, worship, and in the knowledge and application of the Word of God.

Small Groups provide a safe place to bring your friends and relatives who may have reservations about attending a church service.

Being in a Small Group also makes you part of a team that works together to win souls and makes disciples throughout our region.

We have a small group network that models the early church. These groups are dispersed throughout the region and meet at different times throughout the week.

Our Goal

Our goal is to create meaningful spaces where people can grow in faith, build authentic relationships, and encourage one another in living out God’s Word.

Reach” is the first step in our small group School of Servanthood discipleship and leader training series. As with any journey, there is a starting point; and in your journey, with Christ, your starting point should begin with the fundamentals.

Connect” is a membership class that introduces people to the House of Praise's vision & mission, history, core values, and statement of faith. This course will give you the opportunity to learn who we are as a small group church and how we are expanding the kingdom of God. Our goal is to connect you to local church membership and small groups where you can actively serve in ministry. Completion of “Reach” or Purple Book is a prerequisite to taking this course.

Serve” is a leadership course designed for those who respond to the call of discipling others through small group ministry. This course prepares a disciple of Christ to be a servant leader both within the body of Christ and in the marketplace to fulfill the mandate to make disciples of all nations.

An Encounter Retreat is a weekend aimed to zero in on areas of your life to refresh, restore, and re-establish your identity in Christ. You will experience times of worship and teachings from the Word of God that are designed to help you deepen your relationship with God and lead you through times of forgiveness and healing. You will learn how to let God take your hurts, wounds, fears, doubts, and burdens, to bring you to a place of freedom and restoration.
